A great victory for gun owners across the country…

NRA

A stunning victory for gun owners as Congress votes to allow citizens to carry loaded firearms in national parks and wildlife refuges. This is a first step to regaining our Second Amendment rights taken away by the Brady Act.

On a national level, our country is finally moving in the right direction.  What I thought was impressive about the legislation was that a total of 105 Democrats broke with party lines to join 174 Republicans to support the gun measure.  When the Republicans controlled the House this bill didn’t get passed.

It is funny how time has changed from then to now.  People are realizing the importance to preserve as many rights as we can.

According to an article in the Billings Gazette:

Many of the Democrats are blaming the National Rifle Association (NRA) for getting this bill through the house.   I noticed one of the comments made by leading gun control activist Rep. Carolyn McCarthy D- New York.  She says, “If the NRA wins, the American people are going to be the ones who lose.”

The statement is outlandish. The citizens can’t take these types of statements seriously from radical left.  I agree with Rep. Doc Hastings R-Washington that many liberals believe in such insanity.

His comments hold true for the general public. “The fact is American gun owners are simply citizens who want to exercise their Second Amendment rights without running into confusing red tape,” Hasting said.

I believe this legislation is following the regulations of the national parks and wildlife refuges governed by the Bureau of Land Management. The citizens who are responsible gun owners will not violate the law. They will respect the rights of everyone in the parks.

Theresa Pierno, the executive vice president of the National Parks Conservation Association, can claim that Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer sacrificed themselves to the NRA.  They know for fact that the upcoming elections will lead to some loses within the Democratic Party so, why not go with flow.
