Baucus revises health care bill

baucus

An article in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle this morning mentions that Senator Baucus is revising his health care reform bill to address some Democratic concerns.  This is meant to only appease Democrats and possibly Republican Senator Snowe to go along with the package.  Obama has made it clear; this is his number one priority.

After months of debate and town hall meetings, the nation stands divided on the issue.  Many people fear our country cannot afford government run health insurance.  There are a lot of provisions that still need to be addressed in the, what is sure to be over 1,000 pages bill.

Baucus Needs to Apologize

Yesterday, the Bozeman Tea Party put out a press release, which I have posted below and can be found here.

The release asks Senator Max Baucus to apologize for his comments following his Make Health Happen Summit in Bozeman.  I attended the protest at the Museum of the Rockies.  While protesting Max drove up and got out of his car, the protesters gathered around him to hear what he had to say.  He stayed there for about 10-15 minutes answering questions from the protesters.

Most of his answers were the typical politician answers and he would not take the megaphone we offered so the whole crowd could hear him, but I gave him credit for getting out of his car and talking to us.

What I didn’t know was that it was a political trap set by the Senator.  A few days later in this article in the Daily Interlake he said that “these people were not civil.  This was the closest thing to a mob that I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

Luckily, my camera has a video recorder on it and I have most it on tape.  Please check it out for yourself at www.youtube.com/tsnleader.  I also wonder if Max has ever been to a Cat-Griz game, which are MUCH more “mob-like.” Continue reading

Socialism at its best…

HealthCareCrisis

Last week Senator Baucus, chair of the Senate Finance Committee, held a meeting to discuss a plan for crafting major health care reform in the United States.  During the committee hearing a group of organized protesters from the Maryland Chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program were arrested.

They claimed that Sen. Baucus had excluded them from the committee hearing and silenced their voices.  Since the election of Barack Obama and his “promised change” the group has made an obligation to ask every congressman to enact socialized medicine.
